Carpentry splits into two kinds of work and the money is in being able to do both. Structural carpentry gets you onto building sites. Joinery gets you the finishing work that clients pay properly for.

We teach both, and examine you on site.

Certification

ServHub Training is accredited by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment to conduct trade test examinations, and we examine on site. You train here and you test here.

Carpentry and joinery is one of the Ministry trade categories. It also pairs naturally with furniture making if you want workshop based work rather than site work.

Certificates are issued at one of three grades:

Grade III, the entry level, for people starting out or newly trained
Grade II, intermediate, for people with working experience behind them
Grade I, advanced, for experienced tradesmen

Which one you sit depends on your trade and how long you have worked in it. Tell us and we will assess it honestly, including if the answer is a lower grade than you hoped.

Programmes and cost

Foundation, N90,000, 90 days, for people starting with no formal training. Around 60 per cent of our students start from zero.
Advanced, N120,000, for people already working in the trade who need certification that matches their skill.

Single payment. Materials, the certification fee, the international documentation package and lifetime alumni access are all included. No extras at any stage.

Where you train

Our centre is at 127 Igwuruta Road, Atali, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Walk in any weekday between 9am and 4pm. No appointment. Bring somebody with you if you want, and see the workshop before you pay anybody anything.
